Arché is Apordoc‘s space for creative development, aimed at directors, producers, critics and other film professionals. Taking place in the scope of Doclisboa, and with the support of the Ibermedia Programme, it aims to provide tools and moments of reflection and development for the creation of new films, guaranteeing their identity and quality. Every year it welcomes 12 projects at different stages of production, from Iberoamerican countries and Italy, in development workshops where directors have the opportunity to work with a tutor. It also gives them a space for visibility and networking, which includes a pitching session and individual meetings with producers, distributors, programmers and other agents.
Arché also welcomes 3 young critics and researchers with projects around the problems of contemporary documentary cinema in a critique and research workshop, as part of the RAW programme.
